Misleading Sticky Information

The technical sticky information on driveshafts is a little misleading. They show a pictorial of the spline connection on the driveshafts as being keyed on both the female and male sections. When I removed my driveshaft I could readily note the female section because the rubber protective boot stayed over the male section. I could see the keyed female section and assumed the male section was likewised keyed. WRONG! If anyone removes the driveshaft besure and mark the spline connection orientation. It would be better to delete the keyed pictorial of the spline connection from the technical sticky information. This will help some of us shade tree mechanics from making ASSUMPTIONS! Of course FORD could have made both spline joints keyed in the first place.

I agree, there probably should be some kind of slot & key setup in order to make it easier to put the slip yoke and shaft back together. The lack thereof is why marking both sides first is very important, as the directions indicate.

I also agree that FORD probably could have made the diagram you are referring to a little less confusing, so I tweaked the PDF file a little bit, hope it helps.
