Posting this question in here since it is all local guys. Does anyone know of a good trustworthy tranmission mechanic in NJ? Having some troubles, all I really need is an adjustment, but I'm not too sure how much I want to get under there and start working on my own tranny in my only car. Thanks in advance
If you have enough faith in them to give them your truck, fix your tranny, not doubt their quality AND let them date your daughters if you have any, I'll drive anywhere. Believe me, you'd be surprised at how awful my last tranny repairman was and how much of a snake he was.
This past week or so has let a couple of us get in contact with eachother. I wish it were under better circumstances, but regardless, a couple of us south jersey guys have gotten in touch and have begun talking about some kind of gathering. I know that we may be spread out a little bit, but between north and south Jersey, there must be close (over?) a hundred guys...just a guess though. Does anyone know of anymore talks about creating a New Jersey Forum? Does anyone have a general idea of how many members are from NJ?
I used to be from "Joisey", but Christy W chased me away with all the taxes and insurance costs.
JD- the trans in my "other" car was acting up for over a year, and I got fed up with it, took it for an estimate, and choked when they told me $1100. I ordered what I anticipated I would need, and did it myself one weekend. Cost me $100 for parts.
