I like the styling of the deep bed, but because of it, I find it hard to see out of the small rear window. The tailgate blocks about 1/4 of the window's vision for me when I'm backing up. My wife complains she can't reach stuff in the box, and she's 5'8" (3'32"). I'm wondering how the slide-in campers are going to fit?

Ok ok... back to the topic.. I feel you can't go wrong with the extra volume the deeper bed offers. My only complain is the lack of rear visability with the rear end jacked up combined with the deeper bed... rear sensing option is a must to avoid squishing little folks or objects behind you! Better yet, for the folks jamming in the aftermarket Kenwood 2DIN unit.. get a rear camera!
Sorry for getting off topic. I'm with the others about the lack of rear visability. Especially when my trailer is a 5 x 10. Makes it real hard to back in places as I'm not the best at backing a trailer using only my sideview mirrors.
Yeh I was wondering that too. Hard to see to back up. I was wondering if ford should have left the box the same measurements as the older 150.97-03 It was even deeper than the previous generations 80-96. Maybe people will see this tall box and turn them away from buying the truck. Sales numbers sure dont indicate that. Ford engineers must have felt the need for a deeper box.
Compare the time you'll enjoy the deeper box - carrying stuff, have all that extra room for slightly larger objects and actually being able to have the Tonneau (sp?) cover still closed vs the time you spend backing up... I could live with a lack of visibilty for a few minutes while I backup vs all the time I'll be saying "man this deep box is great! And the truck bed too!"
I agree, but I highly recommend those that haven't decided on the reverse sensing system to reconsider. It really helps when backing up in close quarters.
Yeh your right. Every time ford has changed the style on there 150s. I always found something I dont like. However when I got the truck It was quickly forgotten. Ive had several 150's over the years and have loved every one of them. Every time I see this truck on the road or parked somewhere I am getting to like it more and more. And where I am at. I am getting to see lots and lots of them. There everywhere. Fords truck reputation shining through again. Every time I see a new dodge I am getting to like them even less. And chevy there old style is getting outdated Time for an upgrade there. Hope they ditch that front end. I wonder who thought that one up.
