Starting

Do the relays on the fender just go dead without any warning??

Yes they can, such is the nature of electrical.

I always carry an extra, there only 6 0r 8 bucks at autozone. If you really need to drive your truck, just put your key in the run position and start it from under the hood.

OK ANother question I replaced the relay and now it starts sometimes and sometimes when I hit the key there is nothing. What are the odds of getting a bad one out of the box.

The relay grounds through thr mounting screws. Make sure you mount it to clean metal.
