Mass Air Flow Sensor Interchangeable?

Mass Air Flow Sensor Interchangeable?
Will a sensor from a 2003 F250 5.4 work in a 2000 F150 5.4? The 2003 is being parted out. The part # off of the 2003 F250 is YC2F-12B579-BA and according to All-data the part # for the 2000 F150 is XL3Z-12B579-BA(don't have sensor with me). Thanks for your help.

Hey buddy bad news the part numbers do not match, their must be a re program of the
ecm or something of that nature. I will try to see if it is something that will flex both
ways for you? It could be that it is a power up grade,the vin codes match from year to year so it may just be that! Will look into it ASAP. LIVE LONG AND PROSPER

i am missing the maf sensor from the engine i am swapping into my ranchero. i was talking to ford motorsports about it and the guy there gave me the part number that matches my PCM model and programming. he said the part number was used on a large variety of vehicles and that i had to find the correct one to perform correctly.
