Dual Mass Flywheel?

Howdy Yall,

I have a 93 7.3L E40D Auto F250.
How do you tell if you have the
dual mass? I have heard that it
is a bad flywheel, why is that?
How do you know if it's going bad?

Thanks,
Gr8ride

Dual Mass Flywheel?

Howdy,

That's what I thought, but the guy who
inspected the truck the other day said
that it had the dual mass and that is
why the truck has a vibration at idle.
I don't think he knew what he was talking
about.

The guy that inspected your truck should get into a different line of work. The dual mass flywheel is for the standard trans.
