I have a 1973 F100 with a Bad Blinker Switch.I am currently using a universal switch that straps around the column.I am now fixing to rewire my truck with a painless wiring kit and I need to get a NEW Switch I would like to get a new one but I cant find any anywhere.Does any one know where I can get a new blinker switch for my truck.
No I need more than the cam.A few years ago my blinkers quit working the would not blink so I kept turning them as I was trying to find the problem and the blinker switch itself started smoking so I pretty much fried the switch now I am fixing up the truck and want an original blinker switch so it will be closer to normal again.
I would go to the salvage yard armed with a steering wheel puller.
But...if the turn signals came on but did not blink, could that have been a problem with the flasher unit? Quick and easy fix there.
Anybody out there know where I can get a new one.Come on guys someone knows.I cant find my LMC Truck Catalog If one of you guys has one and I know you do can you look and see if the have blinker switch for my truck and the price. My truck is a 1973 f100 390
jpeg,LMC lists a turn signal switch for 73 to 77 as 47-0757 for a manual transmission or 47-0758 for an automatic tranny.I just ordered a switch for My 73 F-350 with an automatic and it worked great.Remember when you take the old one out to make a drawing of where each colored wire went in the plug. When you take off the plug you have to pry out the small red retainer in the bottom of the plug to release the wires from the plug, hope this helps.

Sorry Dennis,I was looking in my 1948 to1972 Mac's book instead of the right one, so back to my original reply to you,we all make mistakes. No one likes to be reprimanded for a mistake made, once again, sorry.
I wasn't reprimanding anyone. I don't get mad at anybody.
I simply stated (announced ,that our sponsor's make this site possible).
LMC is NOT a sponsor.
My common sense says: Look after the people who look or help me.
I already know that Motorhaven doesn't have them anymore & suggested
