Busted Handle

About an hour ago the handle on the tailgate of my '01 Ranger broke. Took it apart and found it to be pretty durn flimsy construction.

Wish they'd use a little steel in things like this! Anyone know of a more rugged replacement?

Check earlier models, I think my 98 has a steel one. The same was done with the mid 80`s Mustang, went from steel to plastic door handles.
