Has anyone tried the bedrug. It's a waterproof foam and carpet that won't mildew or allow liquids to penetrate. It's stain proof and gas, oil and acid proof. One piece custom moulded side walls and wheelwells. It also carries a as long as you own your truck warranty.
Yep, I have got one. Like it a lot. It's quiet - my old truck had a drop in plastic liner that you could hear rattle around. It is great on the knees - really easy to crawl around in. Get's a little dirty I just vacuum up or hose off.
I am glad to hear possitive comments about the bedrug. I haven't ordered mine yet, but plan too soon. I found them on the internet from $289-309. Ordering from a local dealer, they wanted $369-389. I think I can install myself.
From the sounds of it, would it tear easily? It's spring time and that means hauling around mulch for the little lady's garden... and scooping it directly out of the back. I would think a softer foam/rubber compound wouldn't like a shovel too much.
The polyester foam they use is high density. I think the only way a shovel could possibly damage it is if you dug a round mouth shovel directly into it. The stuff is really tough. They say it will outlast your truck. For me personally it is not an issue since I only carry pieces of plexiglass. But if you have any questions dzervit try bedrug.com and they should be able to help you.
According to the brochure it resists gas, oil and acid. Blood, well that I am not sure. If you log on to bedrug.com they will send you a free sample of the bedrug and brochure for same. Also you could probably ask them about the blood issue. I believe there are only two color options, a grey and a charcoal. C Ya
It is attached with heavy duty velcro. The hook side goes against the bed of the truck. Just have to clean the bed real good and then clean the areas were you put the velcro hooks with alcohol. It is formed to fit the ribs of the bed so you get a smooth surface.
