Happy Friday to ya! Have a small problem with my truck. Sometimes when I take off in first gear, the truck shakes really bad upon takeoff. It does not do this all the time, and does this when the truck is hot or cold. The truck shifts fine, and there is plenty of fluid in the clutch reservoir. Recently changed the tranny fluid. The old fluid showed no signs of metal. The truck will be turning 90k soon and is still on the original clutch (ordered this for a spare ).
What could it be? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Actually, yes. Not a whole lot of oil (very, very little), but it does look "wet" between the engine and transmission. Also noticed the slave cylinder is leaking a little too (has a wet look to it as well).
Someone else was telling me that it was time to change the clutch since I'm approaching 90k, and that the present clutch has too many miles. Never heard of that one before.
