My truck running around empty but running long enough to get fully warmed up runs right around 130* or a little above. I have a sonnax valve and tri-springs so I don't know if that makes a difference either way.

thanks,

my gauge has yet to move off of 140 degrees with my current setup. Was worried the gauge was faulty!

Mine was at 130, but today after changing the trannny fluid, it stays around 150. Strange that it went up with new fluid.

That is interesting. Is it overfull, and churning up foam?

Once you get the tranny fluid over 200 degrees, you start shortening it's life. In response to a previous question, I just got back from a 200 mile drive in 75-80 degree heat, and my tranny temp gauge sat on 150 the whole time, running empty at 70mph. When it's colder out, it typically runs at 125-135.

Tranmission Temps.

Pulling temps are between 110 and 120 on the highway. In traffic with a lot of stop and go they got to 180 with outside temps in the high 70's.
