I live in Delaware and the station at the corner is ripping us off at 1.88. If I drive 15 miles south in Delaware or go to Maryland I got it today for 1.56.

They claim a shortage but I was in the coast guard and still have friends there and the ancorage in the Delaware bay is backed up with tankers, some even having to stay out at sea, that can not get in to unload because the refieries tanks in the area are full.

VERRY obvious that the oil compines are just ripping the public off big time. OPEC says slow down and they raise the price BFORE they even buy any more oil but when crude production goes back up they refuse to lower the price to match what they are paying for the lower priced crude.

I agree, the oil companies are making a killing right now. The station by my office this morning had diesel for $2.49; I filled up yesterday in Yuma Az. for $1.85? There are no refineries near Yuma?

Rip off is right for yall! $1.479 #2 diesel at a small truck stop on I-29N just south of Saint Joseph, MO. I ALWAYS buy fuel from a truck stop for the reasons already stated. Regular unleaded is $1.679. I'll quit complaining about the high cost of fuel here in the Heartland!

The reason there is a wide difference in prices is because sometimes the state tax is nearly the largest component of the price per gallon. Call a distributor and he will tell you what the local state taxes are. Outrageous!

I Paid 156.9 in Waco, up 4 cents from last week. To make it worse, someone stole 5 gallons (siponed) from me while my truck was parked at Laquinta in Austin.

All fun aside it really sucks you lost the fuel, what even scares me more, if they can take something out they can put something in.

That is right. No way to keep them out. At least I don't know of a lock gas cap. I think I may fabricate a lock on my fuel door like a motor home power plant door lock.
