I have a 1990 E350 with a 7.3 smoker (am working on that).
I recently had to replace my starter and relay. While changing out the relay I noticed that several of the wires were in bad shape so I replaced their ends as well. After putting everything back together I now have no power to anything in the truck. I checked all the fuses and they are good (in cab fuse box) as well I metered the fusable links at the relay and found them all good. I don't have a wiring diagram for the vehicle so am at a loss as to if there is another fuse or link that may have blown and I can;t find it. If I short out the starter across the relay I can make it fire. Also no power to wire on relay to eneregize it. Could the problem be in the ignition switch. It had been sticky the past while but it seems strange that it would go now as well. Any Ideas thatnks.
Thanks for the help, the wire you are talking about was done up but had a break in it about 6 inches from the fuseable link. Spliced in a new wire (same gauge) and all is fine.
Thanks
