"The long, grey line has never failed us. Were you to do so, a million ghosts in olive drab, in brown khaki, in blue and grey, would rise from their white crosses, thundering those magic words: Duty, honor, country." Gen. MacAurthur 1962
I'm not regular military yet because of my athsma, but I have served in the Civil Air Patrol for almost 6 years. We are the official auxiliary of the USAF and wear the USAF uniform. I feel it everytime a servicemenber is lost, and it only strengthens my resolve to serve with pride an honor, and represent all those men and women who gave it all for us. Hooah to all our servicemen/ women past and present.
Some of my friends just came back with two units of the guard from Iraq. I kinda feel bad but they made me retire a few years ago so I can't volunteer anymore.
i just wan't to take a minute to say thank you to all the men and women of all the branches.i unfortunately couldn't join due to a a knee injury while racing.i have a long line in my family who served.we lost my grandfather last year who served for 35 years then retired from the navy.just from the stories he told me i know that just a thank you is enough.(he served during most of WWII)i like most enjoy my freedoms but unlike some i know those freedoms are there because of the men and women who serve or who have served and because of those who have made the ultimate sacrifice.to those of you who make any type of special forces my heart goes out to you as well because you know that call could be your last but you gear up andhead out any way knowing it could be your last, knowing it's what needs to be done.it's because of this i stand up and say thank you from the bottom of my heart.THANK YOU. one last thing for every one (especialy you in uniform) go to WAAF and click on the mistress cari web page then scroll down the right side to the thank the troops section.i think every one will be impressed.
to find the two items i'm talking about go to WAAF then jocks and click on mistress carrie, scroll down alittle and click on "I am the flag" and especialy "The Letter" i'm shure all who are serving will apretiate it.Thanks again, god speed and good luck to all of you. Robert Duval
