Has anybody ever had a problem installing a LUND brand bug shield on their truck. I installed one a few months ago and it didn't seem to fit quite right. The holes did not line up correctly. I ended up drilling a few new holes in the hood to try and make it work. After a couple weeks it ended up getting a stress fracture and finally broke in half. I have gotten a replacement LUND bug shield and have noticed the same problem with the holes not matching. It says right on the shield that it is for Expedition, 150 & 250 trucks. Thanks.
I installed a lund shield on my f-250 but the shield stated it was for f-250/f350 super duty nothing about f-150. I think your definately getting the wrong shield!
The F-150 hoods should be a different configuration than the 250, 350 and Excursion (all super duty), so I wouldn't think they would be interchangable between the two different styles.
Thanks. I kind of thought the same thing and was suprised that it would be listing the 150/Expedition as well as the 250/350. I will double check the sticker to see what it says. Wonder if it is for pre-1999 250/350's.
