i'll try it the truck is clean i just cleaned it when i got back from our last trip and that is why i'm also looking for how to put the stock cab air filter in lots of road graim in the cab and you can feel it on your skin we drove from LA. to FL. to NY. i gtot it off the lot so it did not have the filter in it

A NEW truck didn't have a filter ???
Or even if new to you from a dealership...
bring it back to the dealer and "discuss" it with them....
That could almost be defined as a "safety" concern...
I know it's "buyer beware", but it wouldn't hurt to "discuss" it with them...
all they can say is no :-)

i thought you could get it in the sd's and if not i thought the X came with them and if it fits the X i thought it would fit the SD but i am talking about ford and i should know better i'm heading back to LA this week and i will be stopping at the dealer i got it from so they can try and fix the tranny that two dealers so far have not been able to fix thanks and wish me luck

3500 miles so far and i'm packing to go back to LA. on tue. night i'm going to bring it back to the dealer i got it from down in deridder LA. i'll ask them about the filter also and the tranny i'll be there for about 6or8 weeks so maybe i'll get it fix right i made the mistake of takong it to a after market guy down there to get some stuff for the truck and after seeing them try and put the mud flaps on i stoped them and used there tools and put all the stuff on my self the only good thing was the guy wanted to know if i wanted a job

well that and my daughter is about to have her first baby and thats why me and my honey are going back down there we where there last month getting her set up in her new house on base (2nd AIR CAV) i liked the 101st air born better much nicer base then where she is now but thats the army you take what they give and do your best anyway it will keep me busy till the baby shows up and then it will be excuse to get out of the house when the baby is there you know what i mean
