Question

Defective valve seals?

i have a 2002 4.6l f150. when i start up after sitting overnight, i get blue smoke. I am noticing some oil consumption between oil changes. engine has 48,000 miles. i do use synthetic oil. has anyone had this problem? Is there a TSB on this? my warranty expires 9/04.

Hi and welcome to the forum

Sounds like valve seals. Leave it with your dealer overnight so that they can see it happen and repair it before the warranty is up.
