I know you're here....watching. As a perspective F150 owner, please address the vibration issue(s). I know most people post with problems but it's still scary to read this stuff. I plan on waiting until the 2005's but may still jump ship if Ford does not come out with an acknowledgement statement and a fix that works. The TSBs issued on the vibe(s) are a cop out.
read the thread abut new F150's on the road (on this forum) and you will notice out of all the posters there is not a single complaint about the truck. In fact they all seems to really like it. Hmmm, sounds like a few bad apples and you are acting like it ought to be some major recall.
I assure you sir (or madam), I am not a bad apple.

I would say very few people that are not experiencing problems with their new F150 will ever look for or find this forum.
Had I not had issues with my 03 Expedition, I wouldn't have known about it.
I really don't think the vibration poll is very accurate. If one plant alone is cranking out 1100 trucks a day, 30000 a month just for the Super crews, I am sure there are issues with some, but I bet the number is much lower that 27 percent.
It was 27% on this Forum.....which is pretty high.
I would say it is probably under 10% overall.....but still....Ford should aknowledge the issue and do everything possible to fix it. I love my F150 and I only have the Vibration issue at 50-55...but in paying over 40K for this truck I would expect it to not vibrate at all!! I had a Chevy 2002 ZR2 S-10 and it was about 12K cheaper and never vibrated. I do however...LOVE my F150....
I'm not a BAD APPLE either!!
If some of you think these trucks are so perfect then lets trade??
I've got a fully loaded lariet scab with 2000 miles on it that I could never sell the way it drives!I agree for the bad trucks out here Ford should be sued!
If you got a good one then you were lucky but don't come down on us owners that did happen to get a vibrator.

I think the percentage of that poll is skewed. Why do many come to the forum? They have problems and are seeking help. So 27% of the forum people have the problem, but the trucks on the road have a much lower percentage. I'm not going to even guess that number.
Seriousness aside, maybe Ford's been working with Harley Davidson too much. They've picked up on the vibration problems that Harley has been getting rid of!
But back to a more serious note, I was thinking of getting a new truck next year. But because of the vibes, wrench light, I'm holding off. I tuned up my old '89 F150 and hopefully it'll hold out a couple more years. I'm also hoping Ford does come out with a diesel and 6 speed auto for it. I just want better mileage. My truck is mostly a daily driver. But either way, my next truck will be a Ford. I just hope it's a Ford that works well.
I wonder how many complaints (actual number) have to go to Ford before they release a TSB? That way you know it isn't isolated to this forum. The Nibble is a TSB, and so is the Air Conditioning, as well as the rear doors possibly not opening.
Haven't seen the Limp Home mode listed yet, and I hear that complaint here almost as much as the driveline vibration.
Back in November, when bought an '04 F-150, this forum had A LOT of people on it. Most of them were here for no other reason then to shoot the crap about how they loved their new truck. That's no longer the case. The so called "bad apples", used to be good apples.
...I plan on waiting until the 2005's but may still jump ship if Ford does not come out with an acknowledgement statement and a fix that works. The TSBs issued on the vibe(s) are a cop out.

I understand the frustration of having problems with a $30,000+ brand-new vehicle. But aren't your attitudes just a LITTLE unreasonable? "Build a PERFECT truck or I'm gonna go buy a Dodge or a Chevy!" I sure hate to be the one to break the news, but the last time I looked, those guys weren't building perfect vehicles, either. "Ford built one truck with a problem and that's unacceptable." YIKES!! Did you have the same attitude towards Windows98? Is your current computer software perfect? Did Bill Gates give you a new computer the first time Windows crashed on you? I guess I'm just thankful you guys don't visit my service department.
Okay, there are some bugs to be worked out. In almost 20 years of selling trucks, I can tell you that this truck has had the FEWEST problems of any all-new model I've ever dealt with. No, it's not perfect, but it comes as close as humanly possible. Ford is working on it- the least a REASONABLE customer can do is give them a chance to remedy the situation.
