No problem. Let us know how it works out for you when you get it done. I'm considering doing this myself but not until next year.
One last thing incase this isn't mentioned anywhere else. The gearbox from the 203 (the portion you'll use) does not have its own oil fill as it's oiled via the rest of the case. You'll need to drill and tap an oil fill, drain plug, and a vent at the top. Not hard to do but wanted to mention so you know. Other than that if you get the kit off of Pirate everything should bolt right up, then you just need to fiddle with building shift levers.
Can this be done with a dodge 203 and a ford 205? I have a 5.0 with a c6 and a 205. My cousin just gave me an old dodge truck with a 203. Ya think it will work?
Nick, I think you'll run into problems with the spline counts. If I remember right Dodge and Ford used different spline setups. It MAY still work to make a doubler case out of but you need the 203 portion to work with your C-6 output shaft, which I'm 99% sure the Dodge unit won't (i.e. this would only bolt up to a Dodge tranny). Check local wrecking yards though, 203's are plentiful and are not really in high demand as opposed to the 205 which everyone is looking for. I can get then in Spokane for about $50.
