Can you all give me some ideas where to begin and how to troubleshoot this. converter problem???O2 sensor problem???? I got 92, 000 miles on it. Thanks for you input

Curiosity, How did you get your 420 code? I have been unable to get any data from my OBDII connector under the dash. Did you hook up to your OBD connector or some other magical location.
yepo just hook it up and you should gt your code. If your not gettign a code check you fuse. YOu could have a fuse blown ( i think it the one that controls your cig lighter) double check though
KP,
if P0420 is the code, Actron calls out

I too have a check engine light on in my 96 F150 4.9, I ran the codes with my Actron scanner and got the code P0420. The truck seems to be running fine I can't believe the cat would be bad. Where should I start trouble shooting?
