Question NSH - ABS Light

Forgot one other thing.. I noticed my ABS Light is on.. My ABS appears to work because I can push the brakes down to the floor and feel the brakes pulsating like they are suppose to do with ABS.. Someone mentioned it could be a signal that my brake pads are low.. Is this true? I already did the the negative battery cable off for 10 min then on.. Light came back on..

Welcome to the forum and welcome home soldier.

Does the lamp flash out a flash code or remain constantly lit? Have you checked the brake fluid level? Are the brake lamps working? Have you checked all the fuses?

One thing to think about also is that the F150 is notorious for water leaks at the windshield. In you long absensce it may have been exposed to the rain a number of times. These water leaks tend to allow water into the fuse box. You can get all kinds of false errors from various electronic modules in the vehicle. About the only way to tell is to see if the fuse box contains corrosion. You can see this by removing the two large bulkhead connectors bolted to the back of it and dropping down the fuse box and inspecting the connection pins inside the box.
