po401 5.4
I caught a code for cyl. 3 misfire today and decide to look at both problems as I need to run the truck tomorrow. Disassembled and cleaned the throttle body and intake elbow, changed #3 COP and cleaned MAF sensor. I didn't notice any significant carbon buildup as found in the 4.6's, and the bad COP was a generic part less than a year old I bought at Red Rooster... Guess it pays to stay with Ford parts. After reassembly both codes were gone, I had not reset or disconnected the battery. If the po401 "low EGR flow" left on it's own, is it likely to come back? If it does come back what's next, DEFE sensor? Any comments appreciated!
