I have been looking at getting a '78-'79 F-150 reg cab for a little while now. Recently however, my wife and I have started planning on kids. I was just curious, from people that own these trucks, how well a regular cab would work with a childseat (or two)?
Our child seat works good in my '73 regular cab. It has lap belts only, so I just cinch it down and all is well. The only trouble I've run into, is the rear-facing seat gets in the way of the 4spd floor shifter when placed in the middle. But then that's just a good excuse for my wife to sit in the middle...
my boy is almost 5 now, good thing my wife is small We fit in there pretty good but with the car seat it gets pretty snug. Espically after you pile in the jackets, the toys, the extra bags..... If I were gonna have more than one I'd definately look for a ex cab if not a crew.
