Was it possible to get a truck without a rado? If so what covered the radio cut out and how would I go about getting one, as I assume they are rare.
I am building a custom console to go down from the dash all the way back to inbetween Bucket seats. In it I plan to house the stereo and such. I want to cover up the previous holes.
Yes 73-79 trucks were available without radios. The radio delete plate I have is molded as part of instrument cluster trim panel. Junkyard is where I found mine.
I saw one in the junkyard. Look for a truck that looks like an ex-govt (forrest service, etc) truck. The one I saw had the Ford crown emblem that is on my hubcabs.
this link is to the one i have that I took a pic of thats in my gallery I found it in a feild we were farming along with a rolled 74 f-350 ranger cab (it had good glass, gages, gage cover, and one door pannel) I got it for all $10 and then scraped the trashed cab for $15
