The falling dollar.
How is the falling dollar affecting you?I work at a cedar mill,and the the price we pay for our raw material seems to be going up.We buy 60% of our logs out of Canada,so as the exchange rate narrows ,our purchasing power decreases.It seems to be having a big impact on gas prices as well.Gas prices are bound to threaten inflation,just by increasing the cost of getting our products to market.On the other hand ,our business has increased about 30% due to our ability to compete with the lumber imports from Canada.It makes foreign goods less attractive.What affect is it having on you?
