Hey guys,
I have a 77 f150 reg cab longbed. I noticed that when i make a right hand turn there is a pop type sound coming from under it. The faster you make the turn the louder it gets. Any idea whats this is. And its only on the right turn not the left.
Thanks
David
My 77 F150 4x4 made a loud clanking sound making a left turn, and it was from worn out radius arm bushings. I replaced them and the clank went away. Check all your bushings and make sure everything is greased.
Check the pivot bushings also. Urethane replacement bushings work better than the stock rubber. The bushings are easy to change if the radius arm brackets are held on with bolts. If they still have the original rivets in them consider grinding the heads off, punching them out, and replacing with bolts. You can do it without removing the brackets but it ain't easy.
