I just got a new 6.0. It seems to be up against the governor at speed between 50 and 65 when pulling . I am using the same horse trailer I have for for the 7.3 and had no problem with it or the Duramax that I just sold. I hope its a problem that can be fix.
We've been having some turbo problems and it sounds like your VGT turbo actuator is not opening up all the way. Your new truck should have vastly more power than your 7.3 did. I heard yesterday that one of the problems they are having is slag from the welds on the exhaust pipes on the inlet side of hot side of the turbo is getting into the vanes and causing them to stick in one position. Ford has devised an actuator to rack the vanes open then closed several times to clear the crap out and it seems to be working -- I got that information from our reliability people.
I just heard from my dealer that it takes 1000 mile or better for the engine and tran to match up to the proper power curve. So I hope tha the only problem putting mile on is not a problem to power is. We will see. Thanks PSK
It sounds like dealership nonsense to me. It that were true they'd never be able to sell one of the things. Tell your dealer that if he can't fix it you'll find one that will and then do it. You don't need that kind of crap from them.
