[updated:LAST EDITED ON 26-Dec-02 AT 05:39 PM (EST)]OK. it's been about 2 hours since I installed the diablo chip and my official report is"OMG" "OMG" "OMG" you notice the difference as soon as you touch the pedal, even lightly. only thing is my SES light will blink once quickly as as pass where the speed limiter used to set in. anybody know how fast you are going when the speedo needle hits the #1 on the gear selector,on privately owned and operated interstate highways of course..... I can tell you it is more than fast enough to make you say OH s**t and slow back down
Whats the horsepower setting on your chip? Did you get the flip chip (the one with a switch) Do you like the way it shifts. (did it firm up the shifts) Do you know is Ken Payne responsible for tire wear after chip install
I've got the 54/ 78. I've been keeping it in 54 unless I see someone giving me a reason for the 78 mode already drove about 500 miles with it and mileage is running about 19 with winter fuel and a heavy foot. thats 1 better than a best on summer fuel and cruise set on the highway so all is looking good. I can out run a cummins....V6 maxima is about an even run with the chip as my only mod.....have taken 3 silverados but that dang lightning still got me good
you can reburn chips after mods? free?
thanks for the input on the chip. ive been studying them to see wich opne to get for myself. glad to hear happy purchase!
i have the 78 horse diable on my psd and a 50 bullydog stacker chip. can you reburn mine to a 110 horse chip if so how much and where do i send it? thanks
I don't recommend 110. You can't tow with it, even light towing and its intended for off road, race applications only. We can do it but it would require a release form. Give us a call, I don't discuss the price on the site except during sales. 770-806-1955
I've had the same chip in my truck for about 500 miles now. This thing runs like a brand new truck. My wife said to me tonight on the way home from dinner that it was almost scary the difference that the chip has made in the way the truck runs.
This ranks up there as the best mod I've ever put on a truck!!!
Thanks go to Ken and everyone else thats put the good word out here about this chip.
