Arrow Interior/exterior electric help needed

Alright four questions:

1.My dome light in my truck doesnt work when I open my doors or turn it on manualy, I was wondering if its most likely a burnt out bulb becuase its a 2001, or if the wiring was cut when my custom bed was installed.

2.My cargo light stays on 10 minutes after I turn the truck off no matter what, is their a way to disable/adjust the time of this.

3.When I turn my truck off no matter if the lights are on or if the door is open it wil beep like hell untill I remove the keys. Is their a way to disable this?

4.Someone said it was possible to turn off the seatbelt reminder?

Thanks a bunch

First off get the dome light working.. Maybe no bulb or burnt out. Then i'm guessing one of the door switches is in the open position all the time causing your cargo light to stay on for that long. Your dome light should be on for the same period. You'll have to fix the door switch most likely.....Get back to us.

1. try replacing the bulb, hopefully will fix it.
2. don't know
3. Find the dinger/buzzer whatever it is and cut the wires.
4. On the older trucks there was a plug under the drivers seat connected to the seatbelt catch. Used to be able to unplug it to get rid of the reminder light. Or, you could put on your seatbelt and it will go away.
good luck
Mike

1. probably bulb
2. More than likely switch for your door is stuck or broke.
3. Only way I know is to cut the wire.
4. Unplug the plug under your drivers seat.

Q: Why won't my "Door Ajar" light & dome light turn off?

A: The switch is dirty. The switch that controls the door ajar light is an integral part of the latching mechanism. Get some WD-40 or similar product and liberally spray inside the latch. Open and close the door a few times. The problem should be gone.

Q: How do I turn off the Belt Minder feature?

A: The instructions are outlined in your manual but here they are anyway.

1. Set Parking Brake & put truck in Park.

2. Turn key to ON but do not start. Wait for the seat belt light to go off.

(NOTE: This could take 30+ seconds before the light goes off. Be patient.)
3. You have 60 seconds to complete the next task.

4. Buckle and unbuckle the seat belt 3 times ending with the belt UNbuckled.

5. Turn on the headlight and then turn them off.

6. Buckle and unbuckle the seat belt 3 more times ending with it UNbuckled.

7. Watch the dash as the seat belt light will illuminate.

8. Within 7 seconds of the light going out, buckle then unbuckle the seat belt.

You're done!

Q: How do I get rid of the key buzzer?

A: 1. Take the fuse cover off under the steering colum.

2. On the right side of the colum you will see a gray or tan plug with 6 wires in it.

3. Find the black wire with a pink stripe.

4. Cut that wire and tape both ends..your done

5. replace cover and your ready to roll. no more ding ding

Hope this helps,

Fitter
