highway vibrations

highway vibrations
i have posted for this problem before but no real response.
i will try to explain it better this time.
when i am running down highway with criuse on and in o/d everything is fine until i get to a hill. when i start pulling the hill and tranny wants to shift back to drive i am getting a violent shake. does anyone have any i deas as to what this can be?
also have noticed that when i apply throttle it smooths back out. i am also noticing this at slower speeds even in town no criuse.
the vehicle in question is a 93 F150/XLT 2WD 5.0L E4OD
i was thinking torque converter problem not sure though.
has anyone experienced this and know what could be a possible solution?
