I recently bought a pre-owned '03 F-150. I'm trying to get a duplicate window sticker and/or a list of equipment and option codes. Have any of you ever done this? If so, how did you go about it?

 

No, I haven't. But the dealership should be able to take the vin number and tell you the options that came on the truck.

 

Been there, done that once - they acted like I was from another planet. I guess no one has ever asked for that information before from them. Will try again.

 

Do you know which dealer sold the truck brand-new? They can contact Ford and generate a new window sticker for you.

 

If I understood it correctly a while back, a new window sticker can be made by the VIN #.

 

Been there, done that, too. I know who the original dealer is, and I've contacted them. What they sent me was a faxed copy of what looked like an invoice. If I had been present when I made the request, I sure I would've seen the "deer-in-the-headlight" look. Evidently, the guys at Ford know that the dearlerships can get a duplicate window sticker from the VIN, but the dealerships don't know that they can. Problem is, the guys at Ford (not the dealership) won't run a duplicate sticker for you. Never had this problem in the Bowtie world.
