Hello out there. Has anyone replaced the front brake rotors on the f250 psd. I have an '01 sc, lb 250 and have the usual pulsations when braking and have been pricing some rotors. WOW!!! Does anyone have a source or link to an affordable standard rotor for this vehicle ? Also have a "rumble" when braking hard, like a cupped tire. I had the fronts replaced Wednesday and the rumble is still there alto not quite so bad. Any suggestions. The rumble appeared after I had the front rotors turned a while back and the tires rotated. I have given it 10,000 miles to get better, but it still seems to prevail.
Check this place www.nationalfleetparts.com they have Bar tek rotors for around $75 each and they have some cross drilled for about $145 each. I have used the cross drilled but not the Bar tek.

how long have you had the cross drilled rotors. i was thinking about getting some but have heard the drilled rotors develope stress cracks around the holes after a while, have you experienced any of that
wlihntr,
I've had the cross drilled on three vehicles. On my F350 CC Dually for about 10k with no problems what so ever. On an 97 Expy I used to own for 50k with no problems and on my 78 Corvette for 25k with no problems. Never had any problems and I've replaced pads for a second time on the Expy and Vette and the rotors were in great shape. I was looking for potential problems and did not see anything. It definitly helps braking on the F350 and it's a CC Dually and stops effortlessly. No pulses, vibrations, squeaks or anything.
if you spend all that money on brake rotors make sure that every other component of the braking system is up to par. if not then a caliper, hose, pad, etc., can ruin your $150 rotor
