our dealer received a bulletin from Ford Motor Co.
that some 1999 F-350 diesel trucks had inferior air intake parts which allowed them to suck water vapor up thru the intake due to warped parts, which rusted inside the air intake system.
We had our truck in to have the problem fixed and when we asked to see the parts, the dealer (Gene Latta Ford) informed us that they had lost the defective parts and the paperwork pertaining to the problem and the work done.
Has anyone else had parts replaced and could this previous air intake problem have cause any other problems to the truck like lower fuel mileage or the injector pump to have gone bad at 4500 miles?
Because we have lost 3 MPG since this problem.
