also looking for a diesel
I just read the replies to the question about what year psd to buy. That helps alot. Is 97 the first year of psd? I thought I saw a 96 psd or sale but I don't remember. It was a manual trans with 170k for $10,000-12,000. I dont recall the exact price either. I'm new to diesels and dont know how many miles are too many. If the truck doesn't look like its had the snot ran out of it, does that seem like a reasonable deal? What does it cost to have a diesel rebuilt when that last mile of life is gone? I can remove and install the engine, so I'm basically interested in the actual rebuild cost.
