leaky transfer case
doing my ujoints today and noticed that the back of my transfer case has a little bit more oil on it than i would like, are there any seals or anything that are easy to replace back there that I could nail while i have the scrape guard off? or is it all hell no matter what? thank you very much again for all your help on my previous problems, you guys are awesome!

The rear seal can be replaced without too much problem. Unbolt the driveshaft from the flange. Later versions have a nut that you remove, earlier ones a clip. Under the nut, an O ring to seals the shaft. A jaw puller then pulls the flange out. Although, it doesn't take that mich force. The seal will pop out with a screwdriver. Polish the flange surface. NAPA does carry the rear seal, about $9. Some later versions, 4405, have a problem with the rear bearing mount. See if the rear flange has up/down movement to determine case damage.
