Auto Headlights

Can anyone tell me how to adjust how long the auto headlights stay on after turning the vehicle off? I've looked in the owners manual, and can not find it. On my truck, it is possible, and I found it in the manual, but not in my wife's Explorer.

Right now they stay on at least 3-5 minutes, I'd like to lower it to about 1 minute.

My adjustment is on the rearveiw. It's a slidebar.

Same here dogman. You can also turn it off with slide bar on mine.

Always wondered what that slide bar was for! Thanks!

Is it in the manual? I wasn't able to find anything. I'll check when I go home for lunch.

Finally got a chance to get into her car and check it out. What I thought was the slider bar on the rear view mirror, was actually the auto dimming feature on/off button and sensor. Guess I need to pay better attention to detail!

Once again, nothing in the owners manual. Does anyone know? '04 XLT AWD.

Take it to the dealer and let them change it or maybe teach you how to do it. It's under warrenty so why not?

Time! It took me 5 days from the original post to even get into my wife's car!!

I might have to find the time though. These lights are staying on WAY longer than I want them to.
