351m 2brl carb
i got a 1980 ford heavy 3/4 ton pu, with a 351M 2 brl carb with auto transmission...
my question is ... this pick since day one of purchase was put on propane and it never had gas in it or ran on gas .....
i took it off of propane and went to gas ,,, after putting a new fuel pump on it i got it running on gas but the carb spits gas at times ....it runs okay at times then other times it smells of gas and runs like crap .....
any suggestions after making a switch like that ???

yes
yes it had a device that went on the carb and we took everything that pertained to the propane system off ...
we did use the same plate under that went on the motor that the carb set on ..... it has got 4 holes in it
