E4OD programming

I have a 96 F 350 7.5 with an E4OD. Just had the trans rebuilt and upgraded. Just wondering if I need to have it reprogrammed after installation or if I can just run it and it will do it it on it's own?

No, it won't reprogram itself, and no, you don't need to do it, either. There is nothing to reprogram, just install the transmission and drive.

You may get a check engine light after your first drive, this is normal and after 15-30 starts it should go off. The ECU and trans have to get to know each other all over again. Took me a few trips to the shop to learn this.
