New Record Wiper!!!!
Well, all you fishing fanatics, you have to read this article. A new record wiper caught on a fly rod. I live ten minutes from the north marina on this reservoir. Not hard to guess where I'll be whenever I get a chance. When I moved here to Pueblo, I made the decision to live as close to Pueblo Reservoir as I could.

To top this story off, the record walleye for Colorado was caught a few years ago at a lake I fished 4 to 5 times a week, in the burbs of Denver. I lived 1/2 mile from the gate of Standley Lake.........sort of makes me feel like the old "Always a bridesmaid, never a bride" saying fits me.

MAAAAN,that was no fish,it was a submarine! And on a fly rod yet,and broke his net and he still landed it.If that had been me it would have, broken my rod, then broken my net, then sank my boat, then kicked my butt while I was trying to swim to shore!I would say lucky guy,but it sounds like he earned it.Too cool!
i saw that in the paper a couple days ago, wow what a fish. i have fished in a few walleye tourneys at pueblo and have caught a couple of wipers, but that was a hog. hey rikfish i used to live on the corner 64th and ward and used to fish standley alot as well.
