Fuel fill up rant....

Well, normally I fill my front tank when it gets to about the 1/8 mark. Did the same today and only got in 11.5 gals. Normally I get 13.5 pumped. When I started the truck and the gauge settled in it was about 1/8 under full (normally goes to full). I assume the threads I have read about fuel foaming are what happened to me today. No big deal, but I have just started using diesel kleen and am trying to track my MPG. BTW, I did do everthing exactly as I always do when I fill up, same station, pump, fill rate. Thanks for listening!

I would really be complaining if that was all I got in my tank. Would be wearing the pumps out pulling in and out. But I get around 40 in mine, it's a 38 gallon tank.

If I remember right it was in the high 40's. Guage never really been a problem...been in the 20 before with no problems. I am still going with the fuel foaming, but hey, you never know. Will be filling up in week or so and I will be watching for ant indicators.

Is this a new problem or has it been this way right along ? Perhaps the tank burper is too low and you cant fill the tank. There are other threads concerning this problem but I just dont know where they got to. Try a search for fuel tank problems.

I really don't consider it a problem...just kinda venting. First time this has happened since I owned the truck in 16 months. Will watch my next fill up and hope it was just a fluke.
