I was just wondering if anyone had a clear cut answer on if the edge or predator modules leave a code. I know it gets asked a lot, but no one ever says for sure. Someone surely has taken theirs to the dealer after installing one.
I have been to the dealer after having the Predator..Before I went in I installed the orig program cleared the codes and that was it...Not a word was mentioned at service, I even asked what codes they got on it and they said "none"....
Took mine to the dealer the other day for transmission problems. I put it back in the stock setting and checked for codes none found. dealer said they couldnt find anything wrong with the trans and they couldnt find any codes.

Talked to our local Ford Diesel tech.. Thats all he does, is the diesels.. I work with these guys on a fairly regular basis.. I have heard it both ways also, about the trace code/parameter/s exceeded issue.. SO,, I flat out asked him..If you install a tuner/chip ect (of course not my truck will it leave a trace or parameter exceeded info. for them to view.. He said NO!! Not to HIS knowledge.. But I pointed out that the Owners Manual "does" say that there is recordable info. that could possibly be viewed as far as, driving habits, near miss, braking, throttle, temps ect that is retreivable by Law Enforcement, Ford or ??.. He said that if there was,, that it wasn't available to him and his equipment (WDS ect)
So sounds like to me.. unless you totaly roast your engine, maybe more than once, and/or do damage totaly out of the norm, or anything illegal that may get the area Master Tech/FOMOCO/Law ect. to have a look, that it would be most likely be overlooked at the dealer level if there was indeed any program for this info.. And/or would they trust it!!
They can't even write/develop a flash to fix the drivability issues!!!

We may be driving with a "black box"? I wonder how you disable that if it does exist.
