Must be the multifunction switch?

Wife called me at work today and states "the wipers have been going on by themselves fora few days now, FIX IT!

So from what I've read its probably a bad multifunction switch?

How much of a pain is this to swap out, and can it be bought elsewhere besides Ford dealership (they want $94!)

I don't have a direct response but this haunted wiper issue has plagued the Ford Ranger. You might try searching over there...

I think this was a recall item a few years ago. You might talk to a service advisor.

thanks just called Ford dealer and there is in fact a recall- to replace multifunction switch. Thats cool the wife will be happy and I wont have to pay $90+ for the part.
