I have a 5.4 L F 150 and am changing the spark plugs. The left 4 were easy and I did not remove the fuel lines. However, three of the right 4 plugs are nightmarish. Does anyone know of any short cuts and/or tools that would help instead of dismantling everything? Thanks.

Before I did mine I checked this article and it helped a lot. https://www.ford-trucks.com/articles/2003/10.php I bought all the tools he recommended and still ended up saving a nice chunk of money. Good luck and take comfort knowing that the second time you change them will be much faster than the first time.
I followed the instructions and they were 100% correct.
It was a bit difficult to reach a few plugs but after about 1.5 hours, all 8 were done. I only had 12,700 miles and the factory plugs were dirty but dry. I wanted only to check them due to terrible gas mileage (11-12 on the freeway). We'll see if it makes any difference.
I have pics if you all want to append them to the instructions.
Hi Viper and welcome to FTE
I have been meaning to add pictures to the instructions but so far I havent got around to taking any. If you'd like to send me the pics I can try to get them added.
I've emailled you so you can email me back. Un til you've been here a while you cant use the email feature.
Thanks
Does this also apply to the Super Duty w/5.4? A buddy of mine asked what I would charge to change his, and I'm not sure I want to get involved yet.
thanks, john
