Brake Light Help
Can't figure this one out, my brake lights don't work on the rear lamps, but the one over the cab does, all other lights work except flashers and hazards. All fuses are good and replaced the flasher. Checked connections at rear of truck everything looks ok. Also no lighting works out to my trailer.
Any thoughts?

But if the brake lights don't work either, it sounds to me like a fuse is blown, or there is not 12V to the whole system. Sounds like a wiring problem. I know you said you checked the fuses, did you check both boxes, under hood and in cab? I will see what I can find in the schmatics. not sure if I have your truck or not. It is a SC; EXT C; or CC?

The schematic I have shows that the high mount stop light is wired in before the turn signal switch. This brake light would work even though the rear brake lights and turn signals are not working. Check the connector under the dash to the turn signal switch and also the wiring for power. You should be getting power from the brake light switch and ignition (when "on"). If so, check the wires for power when you click your signal lever. If no power coming out, turn signal switch may be bad.
