OBD Plug location 95 F150 ??
I went to get my 95 F150 4.9 inspected today and the "Inspection *****" at the NJ DMV could not find it under my dash !!!! 3 or 4 of them were crawling all throughout my cab and since none of them could find it they said it was "missing" on the report and faild me for emissions. Any ideas ?

What morons! OBD-II started with the 1996 model year. All they can test is the actual tailpipe emmissions on a 1995. Your diagnostic port is under the hood, drivers side. It is a proprietary Ford EEC port, so a universal OBD scanner will not work.

Thanks Jim, Can you point me to any Ford Documentation that verifies that ? Theses are the type of people who would tell you "the sky is flouresant yellow" just because they are too lazy to do their own jobs and they know they have you over a barrel (I would to just show them your post) No wonder I could not find it.

If you can get to the label on the computer, it will be EEC-IV, and be a 60 pin connector if it is OBD-I. And it was Federal law that mandated OBD-II by 1996 - only a very few vehicles got OBD-II before then. That's not something you should have to prove.
