Maybe I'm out of line here. If so, my appologies in advance to the forum moderator and other forum members, but I find it amazing how many posters come here seeking advice, some desparately, then, after much time and effort by other forum members posting to help solve their problem, they fail to even post a simple follow-up of how their problem was finally solved or even a cursory "thank you", for that matter. The thank you, I guess, is truly the option of the original poster, but I think it calls into question one's manners. But any problem follow-up is very important in that it establishes a final solution and thus, for future thread readers, will be of much greater value. Just my opinion.

i absolutely agree...
it is nice to see feedback, thank yous, updates.....
it can also be a learning experience for everyone.

last month when i posted what we thought were clutch problems, it turned out to be plugs, wires, etc.

i posted an update just to let everyone know how it came out, what the actual problem was, and to thank those who offered help.
(search for "the beast is back")

let the helpful people know they were a help...it's common courtesy, and it will encourage them to help again!

me=

so that's my .02.

peace,
aeon

I totally agree. Also, when writing a topic, be very specific about it. I see a lot of topics that are like "'98 Explorer", or "Problem my truck", etc... Please, be very specific about the topic. Something like "Squeaking Explorer" or "Vibration in drivetrain" is much more appropriate.

I agree whole heartedly. We are not looking for praise, but a little thank you would go along way. Some of us pull manuals, electrical schematics or what have you to help answer some of these questions. WHY ? Because we too were once in need and a freind in need is a freind indeed.

Sure...manners are nice...but...PLEASE POST FOLLOW-UP OF RESULTS !!!

Sure...it's always nice to be polite. BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY.....

PLEASE POST A FOLLOW-UP POST TO LET OTHERS KNOW WHICH SUGGESTION WORKED (or did not work)....AND ANY OTHER DETAILS LEARNED IN THE PROCESS.

THAT'S what would be the MOST HELPFUL to everyone.

(oh...btw....I say this to myself as well....in that I'm sure I've neglected to follow-up my own questions).

Thanks all for a great board!
