FMC reman???
i'v recently got a 94 250 w/e4od [i think]
it has a factory reman tag...
on the bottom of the pan it sez
"5 level ?? installed"
from what looks like a smudged rubber stamp
i can feel [and see on the tach] 5 distinct "gears"
is it somehow split shifting 3rd?
anybody kno what this kit is????

ok
incase anybody else is curious
after more web scouering and a couple of calls...
appearently there is a Baumann Engineering kit installed

and the 5 level is selectable shift firmness
the other "gear" feeling is probably a torque conv. lock
that only works in the highest gear selected [2,D, or OD]
going from normal slip mode to lock
accounts for the pull and rpm drop
