Talking 76 f150 question

is a 76 supercab a rare truck? i don't mean priceless everyone is after one etc.
i was just wondering if they made many supercabs at that specific time?
also does anybody know any major problems/concerns about them and the 390 engine with a 2-barrel carb on it.?

mike

Wouldn't really call it a rare truck but back in 76 there was not a lot of people buying them yet. 76 a truck was still a truck and hadn't been domesticated yet. As for the 390 engines they were some of the best and strongest motors you could get. They were a lot more dependable then it's smaller brother the 360. Lots of parts out there for a 390 and lots of potential. If you have this truck it would be a great one to mod up and show off.

by all bad gaskets i mean on the power steering arm.
put a new regulator in it and a
used alternator. now it wont run. so i think it needs another alternator

anybody interested in buying it?

If I were a little closer I'd come down and help you, it's not real hard if you have done it before. I could try and make up a list on how it's done. One thing though I'd get me a good manual like a Chilton or the like. They are avalible at about any parts store. Also there are a lot of good members in the Wichita area and I'm sure they will be posting here on your thread soon. If you aren't in a big hurry I can get down that way in a little while probably. I do have family down there and visit regular.

Yes there is a classified section and that is the proper place to put it up for sale. Posting for sale items in the chapter forums is a no no. But I am looking for a truck for my boy and might be interested so email me with a price and picts if you have them. Please do not respond with price or other info in this post though. Email me or put it in the classifieds so I can contact you.

It's on the right hand of your screen in the upper area. Look below the big Red Parts Shop button on the right side at the top.
