There is only one Dana 70 for 1ton single axle truck isnt there? Sometimes there are tags but being this old who knows if its there. Also I think they stamp them around the pumpkin area.
You have a Dana 70 "B" axle which means it has 35 spline axles and the ring gear offset is the standard and most common .625 or 5/8 offset.
By the way I would love to have that tranny. From recent research on pirate it has a 1.4" / 32 spline output shaft with a stock 1350 yoke vs the way more common 28 spline/ 1.25" output 1330 yoke on 3/4 tons.
I run all 1 ton unjoints on my truck but they do not make a 1350 output yoke for that 28 spline so I had to custom make one from a 1350 9" yoke and weld on original splines with some lathe work and cast rod welding. Alot of work for now knowing there is another option
Anyways that's a good tranny!!
