V10 "kilometerage"
I have a 99 F250 SD, SC, LWB, 4.30 rear end with a 5 speed. The first tank of gas, I got horrific numbers, and was petrified this thing was a gas pig. For all you imperialites(which I'm sure is just about everyone else!!):
5km/Liter=roughly 15mpg(correct me if I'm wrong).
1. 512km, 106l= 4.8km/l
2. 434km, 88l= 4.9km/l
3. 423km, 88l= 4.8km/l
4. 510km, 98l= 5.2km/l
trips 1 and 4 were hiway, and 2 and 3 were around the city driving. I think the steeper gears help keep the mileage down around town, but the old girl sure screams along at 2600rpm @70mph. Overall I am extremely impressed with the V10 and would recommend it to anyone in a Ford heartbeat.
